FAQs
What is The Consortium?
The Consortium is an online marketplace for Canadian makers + finders to connect with design lovers across the country. Our sellers are all hand selected for their quality and style. All pieces are handmade and/or vintage.
Can I sell my beautiful items on The Consortium?
If you're interested in joining The Consortium as a seller, send an email to hello[at]theconsortium.ca and introduce yourself!
What if I want something that's marked sold?
It's human nature to want what you can't have - we get it. Reach out and let us know what you're interested in. We'll work with our sellers to help you get the one that got away!
How does shipping work?
Applicable shipping fees are billed separately from your item.
If the item you've purchased has a listed shipping price you will receive an email with a link to complete the purchase by paying the shipping fee. If a shipping fee is listed and you haven't received an email from us in 24hrs, don't forget to check your junk mail!
Some sellers prefer to quote shipping after they know your location to provide a personalized price. A quote will be emailed for your approval after you check out. If shipping is additional, you will have the option to arrange your own pick-up or easily cancel the purchase.
How does local pick-up work?
This is a great and FREE choice! Seller locations are listed on the item page. The Consortium will make agreements for you to pick-up your item in person.
Can I group multiple items in a shipment?
Sometimes. Contact us at hello[at]theconsortium.ca and we'll do our best to help consolidate shipments. If you order multiple items from the same seller, or items from sellers in the same city it obviously makes things easier, but we'll always try our best to make it work.
My item arrived damaged. Now what?
In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, contact us immediately at hello[at]theconsortium.ca and we will decide on the best way to proceed together. Remember to inspect the item before signing any shipping insurance waiver. The Consortium is not responsible for damage occurred during shipping. You may be asked to supply images of the item in its original packaging.

To ensure your buying experience is exceptional, please read the shipping and return policy listed on the item page before you complete your purchase. Please ensure that you initiate your return within the timeframe set by the seller as specified on the item detail page.To initiate a return email us at hello[at]theconsortium.ca.
